We have recently trainied at the British Racing School in Newmarket with a master saddler. Working towards microchipping our saddles and engraving the stirrup bar , (not with our post code but with the unique chip number followed by UK). So if someone outside of UK is stopped with a vehicle with saddles in it, which dont belong to them, the propery can be returned to its rightfull owner, even in europe with the unique scanner. All saddle are registered to there owner, if at any time you want to sell your saddle, just print of your certificate of keepership and pass it on to the new owner. Auctions and all police forces will be able to scan saddles either for sale or suspect, and witihin minutes know its genuine keeper. If you require any more details or a leaflet please pm. A small price to pay for peace of mind.

chips have been out for ages saddletrac do them i have worked in a saddlery for 5 years and i have never sold one in all that time. sounds good but does it work, police cant even match up a pony on a passport with its discriptions written in black and white. so being able to tell one saddle from another is in my opinon highly unlikely. i wish you luck. xx
