I wonder if anyone would be interested in having on loan my 13.2 partbred welsh gelding is is dark bay and 5 years old. He is a lovely kind gentleman who was broken early this year. He is a fabulous mover and would do top level dressage easily, he also has a huge jump and loves his jumping so would do workers easily. We have hacked him and had regular lessons but he still needs miles on the clock we have shown him in a couple of partbred classes and he copes with the buzz of shows very well. He has a a tremendous front and trot and has a beautiful head and eye
The only reson that we want him to go out on loan is that he has sweetitch which is easily managed with a snuggy hood or boett both which will come with him. I have had to move grazing and the new grazing is wooded with a stream running through it and is really bad for flies and midges. It is driving him mad and its the worst kind of conditions for him.
I have kept a full mane and tail on him all summer until he moved grazing the week before PUK and he was turned out 24/7 while I was away he had trashed his hood and rubbed his mane and made a mess of himself.
So after much soul searching as he is such a lovely kind pony I think it would be fairer for him to go to someone who had better conditions to keep him in.
He would make someone a top class all rounder, and would do dressage, workers, showing and jumping.
I am looking for someone who could give him a good home, lots and love and kisses and could cope with the sweet itch - as I said earlier it is totally manageable but my field conditions must be the worst possible.
Please pm me for more details, we is available to try at any time and we are based near Sheffield
