Anyone know personally any horses by Garuda K and any youngsters. Anyone ever owned one or know of any?
My sister is thinking about a foal by him either putting her mare in foal to him or buying direct from the stud this year or next. I know foals by him do well at the BEF Futurity scheme and he was stallion of the year not so long ago.
Just wanted to know what they are like really looks wise and temperament wise.
If anyone knows any by him that will be a big help and any fillies bred by the stud that will be amazing as if she buys direct from the stud she will want a filly. Obviously she will be happy with whatever she breeds if she covers her own mare whether it be a colt or filly.
Any info is really appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Have a read on the breeding section of the horse and hound forum. A lot of the users have used him or have an opinion so you may find more info from them. He has had a lot of rave reviews but I have never seen him in the flesh.

I have seen him in the flesh both in 09 and 08, his paces are phenominal and his temperament brilliant, the photos of him in his extensions are his "normal paces"!!!!
We have covered our connemara mare with him and are looking forward to a foal in April.
His owners are fantastic to work with if considering an AI option for stud and I do believe his foals are snapped up very quickly from there.
Hope that helps. I would highly recommend using him or purchasing progeny by him!!!!!

Thanks for the info so far tessy and holiday it is really appreciated. I have heard only good opinions about the stud owners and Garuda K too.
I have never seen any of his foals in the flesh, only on pictures so was just trying to get views from any foal owners from the stud directly or who have covered their own horses.
Good luck with your foal holiday. I bet the foal will be amazing and very exciting prospect.
We are pretty much decided that we want a foal by him. We have done our research on him and love him already. Just don't know whether to cover my sisters mare for foal 2010 or to buy direct from the stud this year.
Any more info about his foals will be greatly appreciated. Anyone know personally any of the foals bought from the stud or any foals sired by Garuda K?

I do think there were some presented at the BEF Futurity especially at Arena UK, it maybe worth going through the catalogues (im sure they will still be online) finding out the numbers and names then having a look at greenlees photography as they will be on there. I know I did see one at least, but as I have three mares and foals, two other colts to run up and someone else to help I didnt get a really good look!!!!!
I cant wait for my foal to be born - drumming fingers now!!!!! She will be our 3rd mare due on the 3rd April, so not long to go now!!!!!! Then I will be able to post lots of photos and give a proper opinion!!!!!! I would be happy to go again with him just undecided to which mare!!! Those decisions are under progress just at the minute!!!!!
