I hope you get some news soon, I'm going to put this in the stolen section as it will be on the front page for longer - things soon get lost in the lounge.

Id have thought at this time of year (esp with the market quiet and not many auctions on), stealing 14 ponies would be quite a tall order, without being seen. Have you found any points on the field boundaries that have been disturbed where they could have got out? Could they have gone walkabout? Was the gate opened? Are they surrounded by open land, that they could have got onto? You must be desperately worried but there might be another explanation. 14 just seems alot to be taken in one go. I'm not questioning your care of them but has some well meaning joe public reported them to the RSPCA or ILPH because its cold and they are in the snow? Is the field visable by the public? (ok I know theyre welsh ponies but you know what people are like) Maybe because of this some over zealous officer has removed them - Dont shoot the messanger, but they do have the power to do this and do we know of at least one case where it has happened with no questions asked ;-/ Although it would have been difficult for them to take them all so quickly and without leaving a notice?

RSPCA have been informed and they have not removed, or have they been informed of anybody finding them straying.

PONIES HAVE BEEN FOUND Someone had cut all the fencing down at the back of our field to get to our lake which they thought would be fun to play on, no doubt iceskating etc. there were several snowmen built around it. We are still not sure if it was a deliberate attempt to get the ponies out, but they are now all safe and sound in the yard with many bales of hay. Many thanks to all those that have been out searching tonight, we have walked miles and miles and very cold and scratched but managed to find them muching on a stubble field. Ponies were very thirsty but no major harm done from what we can see in the dark. A big thanks to all those passing the word around.
Luckily our ponies are checkedat least 2 or 3 times a day by us and twice a day by our neighbours otherwise they could have been even further away.

Shame the thoughtless little bleeders didnt fall IN the lake, at least the ponies are found and your blood pressure can go down now. I just didnt think a lorry sliding round in the snow could have stolen 14 ponies. Hope you can have a good nights sleep, should think your exhausted!
