I know nothing about western riding, but what about trying to find an Assn for Western Riding or something of the sort - try google - there must be one and they might be able to give you a list of instructors.

There is a group called WES that is the Western Equestrian Soc in the UK. They have a list of instructors and trainers. wes-uk.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=44&Itemid=28 hopefully you can find someone that is close on the list. Its a friendly society and each area have their own shows. There are plenty of differnt breeds that show in western. Good luck with your cob. I know that you said that you have a saddle but if you find that it doesn't fit then try the western saddler - 'Maria' is really nice and they are going to be stocking a new western treeless saddle that may be of use as your baby changes shape. www.western-saddler.co.uk/
