There is a lady associated with Thompstones Toppers who advertise in the side saddle year book so im sure one of the secretarys of the association would have a phone no. their costumes are very good and you could have one made. they also do a very good hair on top of riding hats which is perfect for small childrens safety aspect. www.sidesaddlelady.co.uk (nothing to do with me im afraid) have patterns for costumes and a local dressmaker could easily make them up for you (or you could have a go yourself) as not too complicated. good luck...

in my professional opinion, false hair on top of hats is v. ott and unnecessary the concept of concours stems from olden days when a lady dressed in her sunday best hacked out in say hyde park on a sunday afternoon to meet a suitor .. keep the whole thing smart and elegant, avoid wedding dresses, can-can dresses, bare arms, too many frills and false hair

Does anyone have a pic of someone with false hair on their hat? Never seen this, and have to say I'm intrigued....sounds bizarre!
There is one childs outfit I coud see on ebay, can't remember the seller, but they also do glass topped and bamboo show canes so maybe you coud find the outfit that way?
