What width nose band do coloured natives have approx?  Just an inch or a little bit bigger although I know it prob depends on what suits his head etc Due a new bridle for him and want to get the right thing. Also where can you get the plaited leather browbands quite alot of people seem to have these days??  Thanks |

I think the noseband does depend on the size of the head and I would try risley saddlery for the brow band you can but it all individually from there and choose the width of noseband

My highland has a full size head  so is quite large and broad and he has a 1 1/4" noseband and it looks just perfect on him |

I have leather plaited browbands they just in my opinion look better than the plain flat one.
Also I have a 1 1/2 inch noseband on my Sec C and Show Hunter, its really suits them both and neither of them have big heads, I just prefer the chunky look, but soem people dont.

I bought a chunky bridle with too thick nose for my C but it didnt suit. He now has plaited reins and I am getting a plaited browband.
