Horse Gossip is full of wordly wise folk so never afraid to ask your advice.
We would POTENTIALLY like to have a bash at Concours this year.
Boy is 7 and pony a welsh section a and is quite a blingy marked pony so i dont want to go OTT.
Can potentially plait him up easily between classes, though think a m & m can look nice and smart eau natural and dont reallywant to take off feather though they would gel down.
Our plan is we have a navy hat on its way (Thanks to a HG Member) with flesh strap.
A navy Show Jacket with velvet collar.
And will have a small childs white stock & White Shirt (white will be come apparant later in the post), Canary Jods & Oxblood Boots & Leather Gloves (Dark Brown Jefferies)
Pony will be in normal tack - Suede saddle and plain show bridele BUT thinking of adding a havanna brownband with possiblysome inlayed gold effect bling, but subtle.
And myself ( being quite large ) Havings a full length navy pleated skirt, a white bluse with hopefully either a nice collar or some ruffling, black tights, black shoes with snaffle bits on and hair neatly back with a navy ruffle.
Will get matching stock/ collar pins in gold effect, pony has a gold flaxen mane which i think will set off the brow band ( though has a large forelock) and stock pins, but want a white stock as has white markings and think it will make everything look nice.
What do you think ? Not a fan of going OTT on costume as think pony has enough natural bling particularly in his summer coat where his frilly stockings and splashes really show up, would also add a layer of black hoof gloss (not varnish) as usuallyuse clear and maybe a very dainty sprinkle of gold glitter spray on quarters ??
