Hi, what bits can you recommed (from experience of using) to stop a horse from leaning and become more supple and respectful?

If you have a horse that leans, a waterford mouthpiece might help.

I took a leaning show horse out of a wilkie when I bought him and put him in a KK ultra and told him straight away he could carry his own lumpy body.

I use a Neue shule lozenge loose ring bit, as with all leaners throw the reins at them, they soon learn to carry themselves, it might take some time but I am sure you will get there in the end.

I agree with k7ett - ride the back end! By making him use his back end and giving him nothing to lean on in front, it will automatically lighten the front - and yes, I also agree that the NS lozenge bit is good for stopping leaning. Good luck.
