you are not suppose to tie them up in these halters as if the pull back you cant release the presure and thats there reward for doing something right. my advice would be have a few lessons with someone that has done the training to do it badly could cost you in the end and it doesnt happen over night. vicki shepard is very good from hampshire. if you asked on here someone will have her contact details, if shes too far away ask on here for someone local.

All mine wear Parelli halters & I swear by them, but you do need to change your mindset and learn a whole new approach to leading etc...
The magic is in the speed of your release. Don't use them like a webbing halter, for example don't lead from the beard, get a Parelli lead too - the 6' rope leads are no use. Make sure you do them up with the knot the correct way & never let them sag behind the chin. It's criminal these things are sold without instructions.....
Don't travel in it just in case it gets hooked up on something as these halters will not break. You can tie up in them but ONLY with a horse that has been trained to tie up solid AND only with the correct facilities or you could cause a terrible accident even death. All ours tie up solid in Parelli halters but they have been trained for it....
You could try Googling Parelli 7 games as a starting point.
What reason did you buy it for? Do you have something that needs sorting out? PM me if you like...

We use one on a very rude gelding, that would drag you around. Now he is very well behaved.
It depends what you have got it for.
