hate to say it but is sounds like she is spoilt.... get tough, treat her like a dog and not a baby and set rules for her... she needs boundaries and some dicipline... dont get cross with me.. but dogs are dogs and should be treated as such... stop the treats... only use tit bits for training purposes... you need to be pack leader which it sounds like your not at the mionute if she rules the house.. if you stamp this behaviour out now you will have a lovely dog.. do nothing and you will have a monster.... LOL good luck .. :-)

I wouldn't get another pup, it wouldn't be fare to expect it cope with an older dog with attitude and could end up with some serious injuries.
Agree with dazycutter, a dog is a dog and you need to be pack leader. Dogs actually don't mind being at the bottom of the pack as long as they know their place, its when their positon changes they get confused and start to get bolshy. Our dog is quite happy being at the bottom (he still manages to be very spoilt), he sits on our settee but HAS to shift when asked, if he's got a chew i make sure a take it off him every now and then just to remind him who's boss, he NEVER EVER gets fed before we've eaten, he isn't allowed to walk through doorways first and he never sees me clean up his muck (put something about this in another post). All these little things let him know we are leaders and he is not to push the bounderies. He's perfectly happy and we still mange to spoil him silly, loads of kisses etc but only when we "invite" too.
I childmind and all the kids i look after are above him also but i find crawling babies bother him - its like he can't figure out whether they are human or canine, lol.
Sorry went a bit off topic there but i would deal with her status before getting another. Two dogs can be more trouble than they are worth, they fight, they gang up on you, make twice the mess etc etc. Bit like kids really ;D
