I was fortunate to be judged by Mrs Barfield many times over the years and she always gave everyone a fair shot, and you can't ask for more than that. I was lucky enough to win her Rosebowl at The Royal Show in 2008 and was touched that she chased me round the showground as she kept a personal hold on it to ensure it didn't go missing! Won't forget the lovely homemade wooden box it came in! (I won't tell her I nearly left it in the RTI stand - never run so fast when I realised!!!)
RIP Mrs Barfield. x

I had the pleasure of being judged by Mrs Barfield back in the 80's as well as in recent years. A wonderfull lady who always had a kind word to say.
My thoughts to all concerned and RIP Mrs Barfield. x

What a sad loss to the showing world. One of the most fairest and pleasant judges and a fab marker too for the workers.
Deepest condolences from Vickey & Clare x
