i have lessons on my young welshy she has this problem. Wat my instructor says is push her over with the inside leg and with the outside rein put it close to their neck to help keep them up and not bending out. Thats not a very good explanation. But after my first lesson with her my girl was 10 times better already.

As you are riding forward in a cirlce push inside leg to outside hand every step. Also spiralling and serpentines help. Perserverance and it will come, it takes about 4=6 weeks Your pony has to learn to carry itself and you . Good luck

I would do lots of lateral work, turn about the fores, leg yield etc. Really helped with my welshy who was terrible for it! Also try counterbending, bring her onto a circle, and when she falls in open your outside hand and bring the inside hand right over her neck towards the outside hand and sponge on the rein. You need to back this up with your legs pushing her out and keeping her balance. Also don't forget to stop the counterbend when you get the bend, and praise her. Hope this helps : )

all your comments have helped.. but GOD this little mare is testing me.. long reined her today to see if she was struggling with bending... not a chance.. worked beautifully for me... driving me crazy.. its really weird and iv never experienced it before..as soon as we get on right bend she quickly falls in like a bloody motorbike.. ha ha.. grr so much inside leg, outside hand it does nothing.. grrrrr.. doing counter bend beautiful, leg yielding etc no probs.. but as soon as i come on a normal circle wham she does it ? saddle teeth back etc good xx
