Hiya Guys,
I am taking my two along to a local show this weekend, going to be doing the working hunter classes. I have a vague idea of what i should be wearing, ie tweed, creams jods ect my problem is i am a little unsure with the horses.
My TB is ridden in a grackle with a snaffle. Am i best off chaging this to a nice neat pelham and plain hunter bridle??
Also the Connie is ridden in a snaffle, should i also change this???
Any feedback would be greatly appriciated ;D

Any bit and any nice neat bridle is fine. Grackle are fine and snaffles are good too. Whatever your horse or pony jumps best in. Blue hat flesh coloured harness. Good luck.

Grackle is fine and snaffle is great, I prefer seeing a working hunter in as simple tack as possible, I've seen some turn up with martingales, boots, breastplates the lot - like they are off show jumping! Keep it simple and smart and have fun

All of ours jump in a snaffle - I agree with Sophie, against some of the others ours look 'very basic'!

use a snaffle as it doesnt matter which bit, and i always think it looks better and simpler, but keep the grackle on, i think it makes their head look better, although a plain hunter bridle is nice too, use a flat browband though, and i like a martingale as i think it breaks up their neck, and have heard judges tell people that they prefer them to have a martingale, although as long as it is plain and smart it doesnt matter too much about bit and things, so use whatever the horses go best in, these are just my preferences, hope this helps

I would also recommend wearing brushing boots, I would use whichever bit your horses are most comfortable and used to
