Hi I am after a wireless camera for a friend. I am away showing this weekend and a stud up the rd (very good friends) have said they will take her for the weekend. ;D She happened to say that her camera was no longer working so she had gone back to cheaking them again. I thought it would be nice as a thankyou to buy them a cheap but good camera. ;D They are having her for free so I thought that would be a fab thankyou gift. ;D ;D
Also does anyone now a way that you can set up a webcam at a yard with no phone line. OH half looked into it and said I would need a moblie phone type thing?? I live a few mins away from the yard but would so love to sleep in my bed at foaling.. ;D ;D

Good question. I was thinking on similiar lines for myself. Do I need a foaling cam and a foaling alarm? Can you or SHOULD YOU hire them?
Last mare I foaled about 12 years ago, I just stayed up all night, outside her stable until she foaled, then went to bed, once everything was over...........
Violet is kept at home, so setting something up can be done or is sitting outside the stable, still the best way?

LP - I bought one from an advert in Horse and Hound probably 3 or 4 years ago. I cant remember exactly how much but definately less than £200, it came with miles of electric cable - which is the expensive bit! Our electrician looked at it and was really impressed with it for the price. Very clear pictures and you just plug it into socket on a telly. Beware thou - very addictive!!! Will have a think and see if I can remember who it was from
