For dressage trainers I would suggest you go onto the BD website, click on Training and Judging, then Find a Trainer, put in your county ie Lancashire and search and you will find 9 names. Ian Woodhead does have a clinic at Arley, Ches J19 M6 and Debbie Jones is also nearby. I think it is always good to go and watch a training session to find out whether you think the trainer would suit you and your horse before booking in. Also you can work out how much time you need to get there and warm up before your session starts. www.britishdressage.co.uk/training_and_judging/find_a_trainerBeaver Hall, Staffs might be too far but have a look at their visiting trainers, it might just be worth the trip. Other venues near you will probably hold Dressage clinics try looking at their events pages. www.beaverhall.co.uk/trainers.htm click on the trainers name for their info. Sorry I can't help with the long reining.

Like Hazel said go and watch as certain trainers will suit certain horses.

Sue Bradshaw is excellent as she is not only knowledgeable but also a very nice, approachable lady. She is a firm but very fair trainer where the horse is concerned and always treats each horse and rider as an individual. She is based at Stalybridge and also Wirral. PM me for her number if interested. Has ridden internationally up to and inc Grand Prix. Trains with Carl Hester herself. Also think about Lisa Marriot not sure where she is based but have friends who she trains with excellent results, She trains with Imke Bartels abroad.Lovely rider. Darcus Lever also excellent and based Warrington way.Phillipa Hamilton who I think may be Blackpool/Preston way also very good and lovely rider and lady.
Hope these help and good luck for the future
