My cat Suki is now 10,and i'm really tempted to get a kitten. Do you think she's to old to except a new one ? She's still really playful and lively, but i don't want her to hate me for bringing a new one into the house

I would say, if you decide to get one, get a boy.
My Mr Pickle loved having new kittens around, but my timid Bengal didnt.
There is no definite, it will be ok - or it wont, but if she likes to play, there is half a chance she will accept a kitten xx

Sorry - should have explained. I think she may bond better with a boy, than another girl?
Boys only wee everywhere, if you dont get them done.

Our old girl 'Pearl', 13years old, has had various kittens introduced over her years, her way of dealing with them is IGNORE! She will very sometimes sniff and hiss, but they have never bothered her.

Yes, I wouldnt make too much fuss. The older cat will investigate, when he or she is ready. They will hiss and go off in a huff for a while, but eventually curiosity will get the better of them and if they like to play, the introduction of a toy or feather to chase, will get the ball rolling.
