well my first foal arrived early hours friday morning - 2 weeks premature and very weak and unable to stand. so milked mare and bottle fed every 2 hours, then mare collapsed and fell on foal and split its lip so its had stitches. but anyway, baby is gaining in strength and now can stand and walk about and suckle by itself. and in between all this i had to take stallion 4 hours away to cheshire for chaps grading!!! Ohh congratulations what a bad time you've had but glad he's building up. He looks tiny compared to his mum what height is daddy?

Two weeks is not all that early - I'm sure by weaning you will have a huge beautiful bouncing boy! I had one mare who always produced tiny foals that could walk easily under her elbows, but they soon made up for it.
