Could anyone please give some info on showing my pure breed arab mare. Has she has only just reached vetteran age this year. So I would like to know what societies I may join and also shows I can attend, has I would like to try for the Olympia qualifier.

FOr the olympia qualifiers you will have to Join the VHS, become a showing member, register your horse and get a showing card.
To qualify you need to attend an area qualifier, these shows are listed on the VHS website. If you come 1st, 2nd or 3rd in your class it will qualify you for the regional qualifier, there are 15 regionals per year and once you have ualified you can attend as many as you want but they do watch to ensure that you dont comprimise your horses welfare by dragging it round the country to excessive amounts of regionals. To qualify for Olympia you have to win champion at the regional shows.

I hope you have plenty of spare cash!! The Veteran Horse Society (google should find the website) is one of the more expensive ones.

They dont watch that closely for horses being dragged to every regional, I have seen it happen lots and lots, there are some people that will drag their veterans all over the country for a chance to get to Olympia  |
