Having had problems with both the Red Cross and the St. John's Ambulance (they didn't turn up and we couldn't run the show until we found someone else!), I have decided to try a new Paramedic team for our hunt show in September:- Mr Craig Barlow, Equestrian Medical Company, Downside Farm, Woodway Road, Blewbury, Oxon. OX11 9EX Tel 01235 851152 e-mail:- info@equestrianmedical.com www.equestrianmedical.comThey're not too expensive so I shall give them a try. Has anyone used them?

At a cost of £250 you get one registered paramedic for the whole day (9 - 6), all equipment, Advanced Life Support drugs and defibrillator. This does not include an actual ambulance as it is better to call an NHS ambulance, otherwise the whole show has to come to a stand still if theirs leaves the showground. I know this sounds quite a lot, but, of course, it is worth it, really. This guy was recommended to me as he is being used by our local hunt for all events and Pony Club activities. Hope this is of some help.
