Hi, I am desperately looking for advice.
We have to go past a yard to get to ours on a private track and the track goes immediately through the middle of their yard. There have been problems with the woman who leases the whole yard, but they weren't too bad, bearable. However, she has just taken on a new livery who will glare and intimidate, and has now taken to shouting things at us as we drive past. My worries are that I have to hack past this yard to get anywhere, and I don't want her near my horses as I could imagine her trying to scare them. The YO will not hear anything against the livery and denies that she is being intimidating, even though she is stood there when she does it. I believe that she is egging her on so to speak. I have spoken to the livery directly when she went a step too far and she went mental, accusing me of 'attacking' her! She has been there less than a month and is getting worse with time. I assume the YO has told her awful things about everyone at our yard as I know she did to other liveries she had, she always fabricates stories.
Leaving the yard isn't an option, but is there anything at all we can do to stop the behaviour? Has the YO got any legal responsibilities to outside people to keep their liveries under control? I will be grateful for any suggestions or advice.

I have and continue to have similar difficulties though I am a private home next door to a livery yard. Speak to the Police or have a look at your local council website. They should have an antisocial officer and even if this behaviour is not criminal it is intimidating and antisocial.

If this person has just got a livery there and does not own the yard, what has it got to do with her!! What a silly woman.

i simpathise with you, I had a right of way through another yard, and had the same treatment, but it was men threatening to get me on my own and beat me up. I ended up going to court and getting an injuction on them. Get the police she is well out of order.

No question - Police. You have every right to protect yourself and your horses. I'd not be surprised if there wasn't some 'history' there too. You'll probably find this has happened before!
