Hi There,
I have a 3yr old welsh section A that i am just about to start breaking.
She has been led out in hand a couple of times with a rubber jointed snaffle, which seemed ok but I am not entirely happy with at it seems to dry the mouth out ratherthan encourage them to salivate!
What other bits havepeople had experience with for breaking??
Manythanks

Hello I'm with the previous post on this one, I am about to start with my youngster and using a mouthing bit with keys to encourage him to accept/engage with it.

french link snaffle is what we mainly use at work, as its nicer than the jointed...

Fulmer snaffle, double jointed, impossible to make a lateral mouth with anything else. don't lead by the bit it degrades the mouth from day 1.....
