My 4 year old Welsh C has started over reaching - he mainly does it when he is going overly foward or rushing. I have never had a pony who has done this before so i was wondering is it purley because he is rushing??? Or will he always do this and what can i do about it? As he is a baby i dont want to prevent him from going forwards but would like to nip this in the bud..thank you x

I had a young horse that did this. Farrier put rolled toes on his shoes, which helped. Also, over-reach boots worn, when not showing. He grew out of it. x
