got showjumper who's 6ys old 15.3hh currenty in a bradoon type snaffle (what he came in, but did say might not suit him the fitter he gets) and is soooo not suited to a snaffle super strong when he starts even out hacking..... i'd sooner have light hands on a stronger bit than rippin his mouth out in a snaffle, when out huning for a chage pulled that much mae his mouth bleed, poor aughty little boy he he what would you change him too......

Or a normal gag with two reins - put a rein on the gag ring and then put one directly onto the bit ring - you can ride on the 'snaffle' rein and just pick up the gag when you need the brakes.

When you say he pulls, does his head go up or does he lean downwards? Does he have his mouth open or cross his jaw? It would be useful to know exactly what he's doing as different bits will have different actions - also there are things like martingales/nosebands which might help. Modified to say, I'm going to put this in Training Issues as I think you might get more help there.

he just really pulls its like straight forward pull if you get me not pulling up or downjust a pull to get away!!! got flash on and martingale on too just srong with no respect when he starts xx
