Anyone else got one of these non slip pads? Do you use it as it is under the saddle? Or Use it in-between the saddle and the numnah? Pro's - Con's

We use one of these all the time on animals with little shoulder, or wither to keep the saddle back. It is a case of trial and error, on one horse it needs to go next to the skin,,but if you have a numnah that doesnt slip, you can use it between numnah and saddle to keep saddle in place! You will find people who say if the saddle fits properly, it wont slip------some do!! These gel pads are brilliant, and dont stretch and pinch, nor go tight accross the withers with use. Good luck PM me if you want any more info, as I don't look on this sight very often!!

I used to use one all the time on one of mine that had no whither and a flat back. I could never get a saddle to stay in place! I put it against the skin, but if the saddle isnt slipping so much it also works well between the numnah and saddle.

I have got one of the Le mieux gel pads with a sheepskin edge - this works brilliantly - my saddle was rolling slightly as the pony is very round and it has stopped this completly, i use it on its own under the saddle - if its a very warm day they may have slightly more of a sweat patch than with a normal numnah but i have found that they are less wet as the holes in it allows the air to circulate more.

Thanks Like to share the wealth where i can, we just spotted it at the British Open a few weeks ago and thought it looked fab and really cant find any faults with it - seems very well made aswell, sheepskin is very good quality.
