My poor little Bengal girly, had her 2nd fit last night. I woke to hear a terrible noise and ran downstairs, to find her still fitting in the kitchen. Blood over the floor from her mouth, where she had knocked herself As soon as she stops fitting, she gets up and is fine Poor little girl I dont know what to do about the vets, as she is terribly timid and even the vets say not to take her in, unless its emergency, as she gets so stressed. If they gave her daily medication, we wouldnt be able to give it to her, as she is so nervous, you cant hold her If its a brain tumour, then I guess there is nothing they can do anyway

Poor little kitty! If she needed medication could you not crush it up in her food? Mind you if your cats are anything like mine... they would smell something different in thier food from a 60 mile distance!

Poor puss
Always used to crush them up in Tuna, but the last lot of tablets we got from the vet our old cat wouldn't touch it - she could obviously smell the tablet. So we had to literally hold her down and shove it down her throat. It was definately a two man job (with a towel - to protect your arms).
We had to give her tablets morning and evening for a week. I was in tears sometimes, she was sooo stressed out by it, but it was for the greater good. However, like I say, that was just for a week. Don't know what we would have done if it was a longer period. She used to know when we were coming and hide.

I wouldnt be able to put anything in her food, cos we have two other cats. Anyway, as you all have mentioned THEY KNOW !!!
I am going to see if and when it happens again. The last one was before christmas, so thats a big gap between. She is happy and healthy in all other ways, so I think she is best left as she is?
What do you all think? Its not about the money or anything, just dont want to make a happy / but timid cat, stressed out. I am thinking of quality of life, at the forfront of the decision......
