CLASS 33 – BSPS OPEN (RESTRICTED) LEAD REIN OF HUNTER TYPE (not a winter qualifying class) - Mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 122cms. Riders not to have attained their 8th birthday before 1st January in current year.
CLASS 34 – BSPS OPEN FIRST PONY OF HUNTER TYPE. Mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 122cms. Riders not to have attained their 10th birthday before 1st January in current year. Snaffle bridles only. No cantering is allowed except for individual performances, ponies must leave ring at walk or trot.
MINI SHP CHAMPIONSHIP - To be competed for the two highest placed restricted animals in class 33 and 1st & 2nd prize winners in class 32 & 34

THE BSPS HERITAGE" MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND NOVICE Mini Championship - To be competed for by the 1ST & 2ND placed animals in classes 35 & 36.
CLASS 37 - BSPS HERITAGE MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND OPEN (RESTRICTED) LEAD REIN - Mares or Geldings, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 122 cms. Riders not to have attained their 9th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
CLASS 38 - BSPS HERITAGE MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND OPEN (RESTRICTED) FIRST RIDDEN - Mares or Geldings, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 128 cms. Riders not to have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Any suitable bridles permitted
THE BSPS HERITAGE MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND RESTRICTED Mini Championship - To be competed for by the two highest placed restricted ponies in classes 37 & 38
PRIZE MONEY 1st £4, 2nd £2, 3rd £1
Only 1st place prize money will be awarded if there are 6 or less entries per class.
Championships will run if entries permit.
ALL RULES AND QUALIFICATION STATUS ARE AS PER THE 2008 BSPS RULES AND SHOW HANDBOOK ALL PONIES MUST BE FOUR YEARS OLD & OVER.
Any animal that has qualified for the SP/SHP/WHP/HERITAGE classes at the R.I.H.S. or H.O.Y.S. or OLYMPIA 2007 or in the current year, is not eligible for the Restricted SP/ SHP/WHP/Heritage qualification in the Open SP/SHP/WHP/Heritage classes. Riders eligible for restricted qualification MUST wear an armband at the commencement of the class.
AGES FOR RIDERS OF STALLIONS. Riders must be 12 years old or over on 1st January in the current year to ride any pony stallion not exceeding 138cms. or Small Breed M. & M. stallions, i.e. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland and Welsh Section A & B.
Riders must be 14 years old or over on the 1st January in the current year to ride any stallions exceeding 138cms or Large Breed M. & M. stallions, i.e. Connemara, Dales, Fells.
QUALIFICATION - The 1st 2nd & 3rd prizewinners will qualify in the Novice classes and the Open 1st Pony of SHT. In Mixed height Novice classes 1st 2nd 3rd & 4th will qualify. In the Open (restricted) classes 1st 2nd & 3rd prize-winners overall in each class will qualify and the three highest placed Restricted animals in each class will qualify. In the mixed height Open (restricted) classes 1st 2nd, 3rd & 4th overall will qualify and the four highest placed restricted animals will qualify. Riders of restricted animals MUST wear an armband. Restricted animals may also be placed in the overall class and qualify for both Open & Restricted sections.
Animals must be registered before the date of the show at which they qualify for the Winter Championships and must be ridden by BSPS members except in the case of exhibitors who have never been members before who are allowed 7 days in which to become members and register their ponies, providing they have a valid JMB certificate before the date of the Championship they qualify for.
