here are some pictures of Nymph. she is in foal, it's her second foal, but she had a 'gap year' between the two, and i have no idea when she's due. We took her to the stallion and she was there for seven weeks from the 27th May as apparently she hadn't taken the first two times, but concieved after 5 weeks there. however, it is absolutely impossible to tell when she is in season, she never shows any signs. so it might be that she concieved earlier but they didn't think she was in foal until the third try, being that she never shows any signs of NOT being in foal, they might have just thought that she was still not in foal. sorry if i am waffling! basically she could be due any time from now till about 1st June. here are some pictures of her i took today so you can get an idea of belly size and udder size, although the udder ones aren't that good. Any idea when she is due?

At a guess and this is one, i would say about two weeks! she has definately started to fill her udder but still has quite a deep crease in the udder. I will say about 15th May maybe we should take bets on when she will foal ;D

well, today, at about 4 in the afternoon, Nymphie had a gorgeous chunky black/blue roan colt! he was up and drinking when i found him, and him and his mummy are bonding well. this is her second foal and probably her last, as there are so many mini shets around i'd rather not add to the huge amount!

kayjayem - how did you guess? i've decided to name him Freddie, after our neighbour's darty stallion, cos they're both cheeky little monkeys..... not sure whether he'll be blue roan or black - his father is a bay roan, but Nymph has had another foal by a strawb roan and she is black. if he's blue roan then he'll be 'Blue Neptune' (because his dam is Nymph, and i know it's a roman god, not greek, but oh well) and if he ends up black then goodness knows, haven't thought of that one yet! xx
