We knew a gelding like that, used to speed up when a mare trotted past. Don't know really, why don't you ask a stud and see how they get there stallions to be so well behaved, good luck with him x

Is he kept away from other horses alot? Its sounds like he has. I would try and involve other horses as much as possible and then just pull him away when he even so much as starts to try it on.

Are you going to use him as a stallion? If not it may be easier and kinder to have him gelded. If you are going to use him there are no short cuts he will just have to learn to differentiate between jobs. We have always used different bridles for covering and riding and also when he is ridden you must not allow him to look, sniff or acknowledge another horse. If he does just keep him moving away - smacking won't work it's up to you to be on top of the job as he is doing what comes naturally. It will come eventually but you are in the driving seat and have to be one step ahead and keep his mind occupied and on his job. It can be very frustrating but also very rewarding when it all comes together.

Echo above. My sec C stallion covers and competes. As much as possible I have him stabled next to other stallions/mares/geldings. I like him to see all the goings ons. He is often turned away for winter and this tends to be on his own, but because he is well socialised the rest of the time he doesn't seem to mind and he reacts well coming back onto the yard with others. When he was younger he did used to take his willy out in a line up, not do anything bad, just let everyone know it was there, but this just stopped the more he did it. You just need to persevere, he is only four and just broken so they all lack concentration, it will come with work. Presumably you are working him to see how he turns out under saddle and then make the decision whether to keep entire or not, if he has not been used?
