I wasn't thinking of Laura actually, I thought that his present owners (the Barrs is it?) had him produced? Or am I mistaken?

The minns own him (although he was for sale) and they are home produced. Laura Collett is also 'home produced' in that he belonged to the collett family when they had all the success on him. And she's only young as well so i don't think it's far to call her a professional then
Now is another matter though seeing as she's represented her country!
Oh and I wouldnt class chris macmillan as homeproduced. her mum is a producer and she's ridden a great deal of those ponies that have been produced on the cousens yard.

Basically ANYONE who produces for another person and gets paid for it in any way whatsoever.

1,bit*hy people when you do well, 2, bit*hy people when you dont do well, 3, pouring rain. 4. freezing cold, 5, and people who think they are at the top when they seem to have no thought for there ponies walfare and think that the poor things only use is to win and qualify for major championships its a shame ponies cant talk then they could tell us if they felt poorly, tired or under the weather but they cant so it is up to us and any real horse lover would put a animals happiness above his own......5 REASONS TO CARRY-ON?....

1) The pleasure of getting your horse all fit and sparkly and looking well/happy and to take him/her out to a show and be proud of what the pair of you have acheived. 2) The lifestyle, I can't think of anything more idyllic than arriving at 6am at a good, clean showground expectant for the day. 3) The friends and people you meet 4) The chance to compete as amateurs on an even level against professionals and beat them. There aren't many sports where you can do that 5) The burgers and smell from the burger van Five shows you are most looking forward to this season... |
