Well I think that the mods should lift the ban on guests posting in the lounge area. Not all of us posting as guests are idiots. Personally I think you would be better off banning the individual trouble makers than all the guests. Any one else of the same opinion as me?

Whilst I appreciate the Mods give up their own time to moderate this board, it's been boring this past couple of days The fact that guests could reply made this board unique, although I'm surprised the guests didn't clock on to the fact they could post on other areas of the board, like the results area Guestless is going to wack me now

Guests are only banned from posting in the lounge area.
That is due to certain individuals persisting on trying to disrupt the threads or starting threads for the sole purpose of causing trouble. Why not make yourselves members?

Why are people so scared of registering properly on the site? If they have got nothing nasty to say about someone behind their back, then why would they not want to register?

Definitely been very dull recently, fewer posts, fewer vising the lounge whenever I log in, perhaps it needs reviewing.

Enough is enough. The was the best horsy site on the internet when it was open to all. Now it is just like all the rest. I say let the guests back in the lounge. It's cold out here.

We mods find it more boring too but this is a democractic site and people were saying we should make it members only. If we get enough guests saying they want back in, then maybe we'll reconsider.......remember we can check your ISPs though so please don't post duplicate messages with different user names

From what I can see the content has droped 10 fold since the guests have stopped posting so its not working. Let the guests post again and be more ruthless with ones that sh1t stir it I say.

.......remember we can check your ISPs though so please don't post duplicate messages with different user names But some service providers use generic IPs so a lot of users may have the same IP address. I suspect you will find mine is the same as several other users on here, but I only post using one account! (HONEST )

Freedom of speech on our new forum! Guests dont need to register to post. Yes but you still have private members areas so not much different to on here - in fact there's more freedom on here as guests can read everything, just can't post in one section. We are democratic on here though, so we'll consult our members and see how they feel.

Obviously we guests can't vote in the poll, but my vote is for guests to be allowed back into the Lounge. Failing that of course, we could just start posting in here!

I feel as if I have my nose pressed against a window now I cant post - and I've tried to join but dont know how to dismantle the firefox protection thingy which prevents the activating email sent to me from working...
Surely those members who need a "slapping" for defamatory posts could be threatened with naming and shaming?
Sometimes though a bit of controversy gets the blood flowing!
And at least I use my real first name!

This site was the most talked about horse site that I know of. Yes in the begining it was a bit of a free for all but over the past 6months or so the mods were on top of it and very little bad stuff was left on for long. I still say this is the place to be but without the guests the site wont last long. Plus most guests posted in a sensible manner. Something has to be done soon before its to late.

i am starting to agree "norm" but its also not exactly hard to become a member you have to use some sort of name as a guest so why not use that name to be a member? and julie can admin not help you set up?

It would appear that members and guests are often the same person.
