you have got that one right MM, call it inflation?. Did you also have the matching numnuher and them horrible leg bandages that all matched or was i just POSH! Not bandages, but I did have matching headcollar, leadrope, holey sweat rug, Tail bandage, travel boots and co-ordinated grooming kit just for going to shows! Thought I looked the dogs, probably looked a right nana!

and the over reach boots that you had to pull on that as you went into canter used to flip flap and sounded like several ladies walking along wet sand in flip-flops

Trouble is we all thought they were the dogs whatsits- once you get into the affiliated stuff you tend to look differently at things. If we go to a local show with a novice to do best rider as an outing and the jockeys comment on the dress and turnout of some of the combinations one sees-I just remind them we all start somewhere and I started there........

My little Dun had a Brown/Orange/Cream velvet browband, and those beige webbing reins with a little bit of leather every so often to take the skin off your fingers . . . . . and a thick fake sheepskin numnah with seat saver to match, I must have been sitting a foot higher than she was . . . . and did anyone have the matching coloured bit rubbers and martingale stoppers to match the browband/numnah combo?
