It's that time of the year again when ponies seem to change hands. I still havent sold the house so am only dreaming of the top class whp/event pony I shall one day buy but today's H and H had me drooling over several ponies, especially that coloured of Mary Edmundson's. I am taking my daughter to HOYS on the sunday to watch the workers and hopefully meet the breeder of the novice shp she rides but if you could go out and buy a made "name" pony, who would you go for? Our friends bought Lowfold Quids In a few weeks ago and its going great guns for them, which makes seeing them at shows a bit of a bitter experience (due to green eyed monster!!)

I love Stanhopes Pavarotti - how old is this pony, now??? Sad to think his (last) name-sake has just died.

I was fuelling up to go to a show (BHSA I think) when I caught the headline on the paper and said " How awful, Pavarotti has died'" my jockey who had just come into the shop shrieked and replied " NO! Did he break a leg, or was it colic?" There were some funny looks..................

I can just imagine that!!
I saw a lovely picture of him (the pony, that is) in H&H this week, he's well into his late teens, now.
