Having watched Dirty Dancing on telly for the umpteenth time last night (and cried AGAIN, when baby says 'You let me down too daddy'), I thought I would ask you lot a very important question: What's the best Chick Flick ever?

Dirty Dancing has to be up there with Ghost, Sleepless in Seattle, Casablanca, and the Meg ryan/billy crystal one (having a blond/ginger moment there!) Have to say we are loving the TV series Bones at the moment, gory but good chick viewing too

You mean When Harry Met Sally!!
What about:
Pretty Woman, An Officer and a Gentleman, The Jazz Singer, Top Gun, 4 Weddings or Notting Hill?
Don't think I can choose just one!

I am not a chick flick fan BUT i liked 4 weddings and a funeral and Briget Jones diary. I know this is not really a chick flick but i luv Stephen Kings The Green Mile absolutly sob when Fred Astaire starts singing at the end, and The Cider House Rules again sob when poor little fozzy dies! and they tell the other orphans he has found a family to adopt him!

The Green Mile is a fantastic film. Love Stephen Kings books but usually avoid the films because they don't do him justice. This one is an exception though, very true to the book. Also loved Mr. Jingles!

Kramer v Kramer is really sad. The Green Mile was on on sky last Saturday while I was babysitting the grand-children. I just hoped none of them would come down and see me crying!!! I preferred the Bridget Jones books - took an instant dislike to the BJ character/actress in the film - too many facial expressions!!!!

Slight variation on this theme ....best screen kiss? I am not a huge Richard Gere fan but having taken this subject fairly seriously over the past few years have to admit he makes it all look very,....ummmm.....very......delicious - if you get my drift.....!!
Love the pool scene in Joe Black too as you do see a lot of lovely Mr Pitt.....and actually the scene outside Renee Zellwegers (Sp) house with Tom Cruise...that was pretty good too.....

I'm afraid Leo doesn't float my boat either!!!
Call me warped, but I also like the older guy in Roadhouse, don't know what it is but he's definitely got something!! Also think Richard Gere has aged well, but saw Patrick Swayze on telly recently and he looked awful - think maybe a little nip and tuck too far?

What about 'Something about Mary'-that film always cracks me up. Otherwise has to be Dirty Dancing, Grease and what were those films called with Whoopi Goldberg in as a nun? Oh and See No Evil, Hear No Evil, i never ever ger tired of laughing at that one!
