Dont know if this works however sure someone will give it a go to see!
Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.
Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end.. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the boot).

Well, it wouldn't work for me as my spare key is only one of those which you have to turn in the lock.
Talking of mobile phones, a few years ago we had a quiz at the local pub and when it came to the music round some of those in the know used their phones to get the answers. They dialled a particular number, held the phone out to catch the tune off the speaker and it showed the title of the music. Of course, I didn't get to find out the number - does anyone here no how it is done??

just hold your phone near the music and dial 2580 then you'll get a text back telling you the name of the song. There is a charge of 50p for the privilege though!!

I got out of the car the other day o open the yard gate and whilst i was out of the car my lovely Daisy May got out of her harness and jumped in my seat, by the time i turned around she had stood on the button that locks all the doors!!! It was freezing cold i had no coat on it was in the car, with my mobile!!! no one was at the yard either after about half an hour of crying and running round the car trying to get Daisy to press the button or put the window down (she does this everyday when i drive so she can put her head out!!) she was nice and warm inthe car the engine was running radio on, i was cold, crying and stressed even my cigs were in the car!! I did try hammering on the window with the only thing i had a folding hoof pick!!! on my stable keys i always thought it would come in useful (it didnt!!) I picked up a brick and hit the window trouble is i didnt let go of the brick and put my hand through the window, when the YO turned up i was crying (still!!) blood running down my hand and glass everywhere..... had to get glass people out it cost me £60... and i told my OH i did it as i didnt want him to blame my Daisy!!!

Oh, marsha, I really felt for you when I read your post. For me, the last straw would have been seeing the f*gs lying inside the car and not being able to get to them !!! I've given you a karma as well.
Thanks, try, for that number. I think it would have to be a really good pub quiz prize to spend 50p a time but I think I'll give it a try, (ha,ha,ha) anyway, just the once!!
