Well I can't bring myself to let her go so she's off the market she's too good to let slip through my fingers but I need something for her to do untill Jess is big enough to ride her so she's going in foal next year as left it too late this year as would prefer an early foal. Have consulted the vet and they have said she will be fine to go in foal at 14 and is so far healthy enough so would just have to have her swabbed and checked again etc around next spring. Well I need husband suggestions. She is fully registered Section A Breeding www.allbreedpedigree.com/pantymel+lydiaBut to be honest I don't want to breed another A I would rather put her to something bigger and get a PB or ideally a coloured if a coloured would prefer a native type. So any suggestions please? Thanks in advance

Sorry, no suggestions but a couple of hopefully helpful hints
I would, with this being her first foal, be wary of putting her too anything too big. You could look for more height from a riding pony type stallion but personally I would try to avoid anything tall and chunky.
Colour wise, do bear in mind that whatever stallion you pick, you have at least a 50% chance of a grey (and knowing her breeding it's fairly likely that she will only breed grey).
You need to look at her critically and write a list of her bad points (the things you would be looking to improve) then look for a stallion that tends to throw offspring that are good in those areas.
Best of luck with your search...

Hi I have covered our Sec A with our 12.2hh Riding pony stallion. You have to be careful the stallion is pure Riding pony with not much welsh our boy has no welsh in him and we have produced 3 super 12hh Hunter Ponies the last one being a cracker. Pictures below. Hope that helps. : )

I would also go for either riding pony or homozygous coloured, I think of what I want to end up with then work back to match sire to dam. Funnily enough ive looked at some caspian x a and they are super!!!! We have just got a caspian colt with the intention of crossing back to the natives to produce a lighter weight good moving type.

Thanks everyone I dont want to go too much bigger with her 12hh max but with a bit more bone than her as she is a very delicate Section A. Temperament is quite a high priority as she is a lovely pony and would like a nice tempered stallion as the long term plan with the foal is to break it to drive like its Mum.
However it turns out I have no intentions of selling and it is just one of my ambitions to breed a foal and so it will probably be the only one I ever breed.
