Put me out of my misery someone please.
I watch that Insurance advert with the two Zebra, and every time I see it I wonder what they sound like, and even more what they smell like.
A donkey smells very different to a pony or a horse. What does a zebra smell like?
What sort of sound do they make, is it a whinny or a bray?
Does anyone know ? Each time I see them I wonder. Iam really intrigued.

Oh dear, isn't there anyone out there with some knowledge of these rather lovely creatures?
I can't help but wonder what they would be like to deal with and to ride!

Thanks for that spot. I had a suspicion that they might be opinionated and difficult. They are very much a herd animal aren't they? I would imagine that one solo would be a head banger and almost impossible to lay a hand on. (Maybe I'm maligning them, I don't know) Killing a brother suggests that the alpha male instinct is very strong.
I presume if they bray they will probably smell more like donkey than horse. Perhaps when your friend has another one knocked out for treatment he/she could have a sniff and let me know Lol.

As far as i understood the male that killed the brother was in a herd at another zoo but they had to seperate him, i suspect his problems were created when he was hand reared, and i think it`s a case of as little handling as possible with their zebra`s as they are wild animals.Going slightly of the subject my friend was speared by a rutting reindeer last year!

he was injured but not badley.I could sit for hours chatting with him about animals! He`s only a young lad but he knows soo much, when we have any reptiles in they don`t see the vet they see my friend! He`s been given the job of injecting a 6ft python that`s not eating! The owner brings it in in a rucksack!

I quite like snakes, providing I don't get my feet too near them when we are out walking. I all but stepped on an adder - it was basking - I hadn't noticed it.
6 ft, that's going to be quite weighty to carry far. What's made it stop eating. A big meal and not hungry, cold, infection, ?? How long does a python live for?
Sorry spot. All these questions. I love animals too.

Hi viking ,sorry i had to go to work! friend thinks it has gone into semi-hibernation so does not want to eat.The vet was trying to force feed it last week! The owner gave me a poo sample to give to the vet! I get all the good jobs! On the way to the lab a nurse asked what i had ?"Python poo" was my reply!

Oh lol.
Well that's one up on the little bags of sweeties sold here as Puffin Poo.
I suppose treatment is difficult when its not possible to be sure whether it's hibernation or something wrong.
Poor snake. I hope it responds and gets better soon.
