took my nine week old kitten to the vets for his jabs, and because I was also worried about what I thought was an umblicial hernia.
It turns out it is one, vet has said to do the same as in foals, massage the area (easier said than done) and it may go if not an op look out for usal signs pain gone hard etc.
Has anyone else had one
Many thanks

Seahorse, not a kitten but my oldest son had a hernia operation when he was 4, I tied myself in knots worrying and he was up and about the next morning as if nothing had happened!!
Do you plan to have JJ neutered? If so maybe the vet could sort the hernia at the same time, then he would only need one anaesthetic?
