POTENTIAL JRN/YOUNG RIDER/NOVICE EVENTER
MIDNIGHT SCALLYWAG
8yr old grey gelding, 16.1hh.
Excellent prospect for eventing, dressage or show jumping. Bold, forward moving horse with 3 lovely paces, gives an excellent ride. As a 4yr old, won Ponies (UK) Home Produced Novice Working Hunter Championship and Lowther Novice Working Hunter. Also well placed in several Burghley Young Event Horse qualifiers. Brought on slowly doing BE90 level, qualifying for 2009 regional finals, and moved up to BE100 easily last year. Now ready to go Novice. Always placed at Riding Club in dressage, show jumping, combined training, and one day events. He is very bold and has always been clear cross country, jumping ditches, water complexes etc. with no problems.
Fit and ready to compete – on his only outings so far this year he was 2nd in Riding Club One Day Event open class, with best dressage (66%) and double clear, and 1st at West Cumberland Pony Club ODE in the Riding Club class with 67% dressage and double clear.
Entered for BE100 Hexham and Hutton 2010.
Good to do in all ways – box, shoe, clip, catch, hacks alone or in company, good in traffic and loves to work.
Same home for 6 years and only regretfully for sale due to work commitments – he is a great prospect in any sphere for an ambitious junior or young rider. 5* competition home wanted, where his potential can be realised.
