i think they usually go darker as dark bay usually born light brown and liver chestnut born lighter, and black can be a minky blue/grey colour when born, makes it exciting to see what they turn out

my conni was born bay and is now dark steel grey ! very nice foalie ! enjoy , they grow up so fast ! !

What colour are sire and dam? My foal looks kind of silvery mushroom coloured just now, but he will start "peeling" soon and turn black

At a guess i would say a rich mohogany bay

I think she will go darker, my baby was a similar colour and is now alot darker :-)

hi smokeycott interested in your comment re liver chestnut, our foals mum is liver and dad is dark bay, she is a very pale/ creamy chestnut at moment, wonder what colour she will be, any ideas?
