what does bumping an advert mean

It means when you add a post to a thread which brings the thread back to the top. We do permit bumping, but not until 14 days after the last post on the advert. If we don't have some kind of rules then people would be constantly bumping their adverts and some new adverts would drop down the page before they are even read.

Members can exalt (give karma) or smite (take karma away) if they agree/disagree with something someone says. I wouldn't get too hung up about it as some members give karma away like sweets and others will smite you for next to nothing

Anything posted will show as new until someone has read it. So if any member goes into the advertising section, and looks at the list, anything they haven't actually clicked on will come up as new. So when different people look at the list, only the adverts they haven't yet viewed will show as 'new'. Hope that makes sense.
