Hi Im Caroline and live in Cheshire. I have a 16.1 IDX 8 year old and we've just qualified for HOYS!

We entered Search for a Sta as a late entry as didnt get in to an ODE and got bullied into doing Riding Club Show Horse. My showing experince stops at Riding club level LOL. Ive had Indie (Thornbirds Independent Diamond!) 18 months and ride him as his owners live/work in Saudi. I also have a 11month old coloured called Henry (Va Va Voom) and no I didnt name either of them!
Im looking for as many tips/experiences from people who have been to HOYS. Hubby is trying to sort me out with a wagon to travel/stay in but Indie much prefers a trailer so Im guessing a hotel may be a better option?

Hi and welcome and congrats for qualifying for HOYS!!! Try and get him used to travelling in a lorry so that you can stay on the showground as that is definately all part of the HOYS experience although I havent been sinced it moved from Wembley!!!

Very many congratulations Caroline. I wonder whether you might be better starting a thread in the main lounge section looking for tips as not everyone visits the introductions.

Hi Caroline - fantastic, well done on the qualification. I'll watch the tips with interest as we've not been yet but hope to get there in the next couple of years.
