We tragically lost our special mare Mona yesterday after foaling the vet believes baby tore her uterus on turning and there was nothing we could do. After long discussions we have decided to hand rear him please send all your good vibes his way!!!! Mona has left behind our special baby boy who is by F S Dont Worry please everyone keep their fingers crossed for him as he at present seems fit and healthy and is nursing well on the bottle........ Last special moments with mummy.................   Yes thats no problem if youre going to be my new mum!!!!!!  Its a bit echoy in here all by myself!!!!!   Oh its ok ive got a new friend to keep me company!!!!!!  RIP my darling Mona we will look after your boy for you and you will always be in our hearts!!!!! |

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments, great news his IgG tests have come back really good and the credit is all down to his mum just the best mare ever and we have had him out in the school for a little while this afternoon and he I think is one of the best foals we have ever been blessed with!! His movement is fantastic and he will have lots of playmates as we already have 7 foals safely her (3 quite new borns with tolerant experienced mares who he will go out with first) and another 4 to come. Yesterday was finished on a happy note with another safe arrival of another baby!!!
Thank you all again, OH is staying up to feed tonight as ive now got sleep deprivation having been up since 2am Sunday morning!!! Ive about had it!!!!

Soo sorry for your loss....Arthur looks beautiful and will turn out to be an amazing horse.
We lost our mare 3 months after foaling but she was unable to feed from day 1 so we bottle fed and honestly it was the most exhausting thing getting up early for all those feeds but am so glad we did it now as I have the best pony I could every ask for....she is a best friend who would do anything for you!
