My 4 year old who is being worked carefully had some problems bending to the right so a back person checked him over and he was sore in the sacral-iliac area at the base of his spine. She worked her magic on him and then he hacked on a loose rein for a week and is now back in slow work. He still stuggles to bend through his body and I know his muscles on that side are not now as developed as on the other but I wondered how long you thought it would take with careful daily work and what exercises you can suggest to make it easire for him and me!

You may need to build that muscle up again. My mare had muscle wastage so she wasn't bending at all. So what we did was there is a hill you have to go up to get to our yard so I walked her down and trotted her back up again. Doing this helped her back muscles develop and it improved the way she worked. It does take time and you do have to repeat it. Hope I helped

I think this is a question best answered by your back person as every injury and every pony is different.
Ask if longreining would be helpful in this situation.

Just build it up slowly and try not to do too much circling or bending until his muscle have built up and he's happy hacking is a good idea
