Just what qualifications does this "judge" have to judge ridden classes....... NONE. Mrs Balch lovely person totally fair would have had no qualms about being judged by her, but I for one won't be wasting my hard earned cash at that show! Hoys classes are becoming an expensive joke and have as much credibility as a second rate gymkhana in a field full of s**t .

I too will be staying at home for this show. i wouldnt want to put my M&M First Ridden in a ring to be judged by the woman who chooses to lead her 'clients' M&M First ridden pony into the ring at the RIHS. The more PUK do the further they seem to sink - im so glad i have chosen not to renew my membership.

Short, fat, balding and usually wears dark glasses.
Yes, lots of Jones' in Wales, which is why they use more than one initial.

if its DP jones, that is Peter from menai stud i believe. Never been under him ridden.
Pippa balch lovely lady but gets very flustered and confused if alot in the class and loses ponies in even the smallest class...she judged Northleach olympia qual and didnt make a very good job of the C stallions and geldings

I think she went for type in that class, she seemed to like a slightly smaller pony type of C, and had stronger type of C's at the bottom of the line. Just my opinion.....just what I observed.

Interesting that Puk are announcing the judges for the HOYS classes next year when HOYS hasn't as yet assigned the classes to shows!!!
This they normally do in December at the earliest.
Does this mean that Davina has just assumed she has the classes ?
