i want to take my riding horse mare who has been scannned in foal to a show as a r/h broodmare it says in the ruleswith own foal at foot or certified in foal does the foal have to be due in the year you are showing or for the following season??

I doubt it, you should be fine...however, I would be worried about any change in scenery for your mare, just in case,as its early days, but maybe me thats being over cautious?

I would personally check the rules or with the society which it is under as many are for the present years foals. (either at foot or in utero) rather than in foal mares, however I would as Lovepink suggests wait until she has had at least a 28 day scan and the foal in settled in well before competing any mare as they can lose the embryo quite easily between the early scan and later on and any extra stress or heat can affect it.

Thanks for the tips she is already 75 days and will be about 90 days when she goes to the show x
