No one going then - what a shame - let's let them ruin the society then without any of us putting up a fight!

I doubt it would make any difference. Everything will have been arranged in advance including people to vote everything in.

NOTHING is for sure. I have it on very very good authority that DW will try to get rid of Jon Phillips ( he believes too much in the members, fair play and is the only one to stand up to her). She has apparently organised all sorts of things. I hear there are quite a few injustices and a few badly covered man-management problems out there - they just might come out tomorrow!!!

Unfortunately we cant go but I hope Jon Phillips sorts them he is a very quiet but assertive person.

I agree Jon Fan, I would really like to see Jon win this. DW is determined and I hear she has shipped loads of people down to the AGM to get at him. She cannot bear anyone who questions her. I think I'm sure Jon has the ammunition - will he use it and bring it all down?

I have on several occasions be ridden over by the chairman of PUK and it is not a nice feeling. Please Jon or whoever I hope it is fair thats all we ask, PUK have taken its membership for granted long enough.Fe

I have heard from a PUK Steward that JOn was Ok in the vote and DW was very sure of herself untill the very end when someone asked why the directors asked DW to resign. She tried to stop Jon answering and brushed it off but Jon got up and told the whole story. Appparently the board were unhappy with how DW was behaving and had a private meeting to tell her. DW then put out a Press release from someone she had employed. The most important part is that there was a letter complaining of DW's behaviour from Newark that never reached the other directors. Jon had just got a copy and read bits of it out, he then went on to say he was there for the members and the stewards and everyone and would not back down ever. Standing ovation. It will all be in H&H, DW can't silence them or Jon.

Sounds interesting, although H&H usually bases most of its 'showing' news on what appears in the forums anyway!

The "visions of saddam Husseins statue being pulled down" made me smile Overbent, but seriously I think that PUK has a lot to offer it has just lost its way and it does seem to have been under a dictatorship but hopefully things are afoot to change that, and to be honest many AGM's seem to be much the same, it is the only real chance the membership get to air their views after all.

Who exactly is running the show now? Has anything altered or is DW still deciding the route the org. is taking?
