Which classes would you show him in if he were yours? A bit of background: He's a welsh D x american saddlebred x arab yearling, so quite unusually bred. He does seem to be embracing his saddlebred side. I haven't got him to be a show pony, but I'd like to do a small handful of bigger shows with him for life experience - we don't expect to win, but we don't want to make fools of ourselves either He's probably going to make somewhere between 14.1 and 15 hands. He moves straight as a die. I took him in part bred arab, part bred welsh, and coloured at Derby, and although we got two fourths and got moved up by the judge twice, he was very different to anything else in the ring (is that a good thing or a bad thing? LOL). I've had hunter pony breeding suggested - what do you think? Or should we embrace the saddlebred and go western?
