If you could only join one society/association for competing at their shows, which would it be and why, also which shows do you enjoy most, talking agricultural shows as well?

I love the NPS the girls in the office are always helpful. Love their summer show and enjoy Pictons etc. They seem to have sorted out some of their issues.
PUK next but they are so rude sometimes makes me mad. Then BSPS they are very mannerly in the office too, think they are better for plaiteds as they always seem to put M&M last.
Think the judges at the champs and the stewards are brilliant hard working people

I would have to say The BSHC & RHA because they have made so many improvements over the last few years. They are a lot more accessible to new members and really encourage people who are new. A lot of the people on the board are very friendly and helpful. The introduction of the amateur and home produced classes has given recognition at National level to the grass roots member. The Championship show has gone from strength to strength and gives everyone a good bite of the cherry and a chance to get inside in the evening.
Shows wise, obviously the above mentioned nationals, it is prestigious as well as fun without quite so much pressure as HOYS, although HOYS has to be the ultimate due to the very nature of getting there and the atmosphere etc. I also really enjoy the North of England shows, Midland Counties, Cheshire and Lincoln County.

Show wise RIHS all the way for me. You get to compete in gorgeous huge rings and always get a bit of a 'different' show to do. For me you spend all year trying to qualify for HOYS doing fancy bits and pieces then you get there and do a show in a tiny arena that lasts about 2 seconds and that most ponies just broken are capable of doing!! (ok thats a little exageration ;D) Seriously though the rings at RIHS are a joy to ride in you can gallop and really go for. Also I like the fact they give sashes if you win and the lap of honour is much better than HOYS. My other arguement is for me HOYS always marks the end of the season and often the last ride on many ponies therefore i never enjoy it so much. I also like the BSPS summer champs, nice seeing everyone and the evening performances are fun to watch.
Society wise definately BSPS. The champs are very well run and they are always helpful, letting you park near each other (no getting there ridiculously earlier and having to meet at a certain point!), helping with class clashes and never rude. Stewards are brilliant there. The atmosphere is really nice and calm and everything runs to order and I like the fact classes are timetabled. I also like the fact the whp go in the main ring (I am not a whp person) but i think it is lovely to go and watch. I agree it is more of a plaiteds show but they are developing and changing and now the m&m's have tons of classes very well supported by top ponies. I am definately taking my m&ms next season, no PUK for me anymore.

Nps has nice ladies in their office. They are friendly to phone and always try to assist. At thier show they were efficient, polite and cheerful in the Late entry office. They set a better example of how to behave at shows than some of their council members.

I like NPS and BSPS. Not a fan of Puk as I don't understand all their different classes and then it doesn't seem so much an achievement to win!
BSPS Champs are well run and you can park in sight of the rings, which is always a bonus! NPS nice too although we walked miles and no-one seemed to know what was going on with the evening performances!
Far prefer HOYS to RIHS on the flat front as there is no atmosphere in the ridden ring at RIHS. However, the M+M WHP is amazing at RIHS!
