Now in the donkeys years of having cats and horses..... im very up with the best conditioning feed for our equines (topspec all day long!!) but is there a feline equivelent ? All my furry lot of 6 putty tats are wormed every 3months with Drontal... Have unlimited supply of wiskas bisqwuits...and their fav tinned food Felix at tea time...... So in my opinion they certainly never go hungry......oh and they also have tinned sardines or pilchards on a sunday morning for breakfast..... Now in not promoting obese cats in anyway, but to me they always look lean..... I know cats do gain weight when they are spayed/older ect..but apart from garfiled and gravy who are husband and wifey and are expecting their first bundles of lovliness, the other 4 are all 'done' and age from 2 - 12yrs old !! they have lovley coats...Mr Chips did look a bit motheaten not so long ago, but after a trip to vetnary, it wasnt a flea allergy as first thought but he was suffering from stress!!!! and overgrooming himself... but after a few changes he is chilled out chips now and his coat is looking great again... I was just wondering if anybody feeds anything to their kittys thats promotes a bit more condition??

We have two cats Daisy (1 year) and Rosie (1.5years), which we rescued from a cat rescue place. Both have been spayed.
Rosie has half a pouch of wet food for breakfast and the other half for dinner (I tried to get her off the wet food, but she just meow's round my ankles until I give her the wet food) plus a small amount of biscuits. It really doesn't seem very much and yet she is a little porky, Daisy on the other hand - doesn't have any wet food (apart from when she steels a bit of Rosie's) but eats loads more biscuits any yet is really skinny.
I used to sit and watch them eat, cos I was convinced Rosie was eating all of Daisy's food but she doesn't, they know which bowl is theirs and only eat out of that.
I worried for a while but have just decided that Daisy runs round a bit more than Rosie and some cats are just skinnier than others.

I had one that was eating loads and just getting thinner and thinner, turned out she had a thyroid problem. Improved greatly by daily medication.

I feed wet food morning and evening aswell as leaving dry biscuits available all day (and water of course). I have 1 who is very well on that, 2 that tend to lean so I guess it's just that the 2 are better hunters and the 1 is a layabout.
I even put out 2 kinds of biscuits, a standard one and one that changes brand for variety - total slave to the felines aswell as the equines
